Experience of training program development

The training program was designed in 2017, in partnership and support from UNICEF. To design the training program, the Kosovo Pedagogical Institute engaged the institute’s researchers, local experts, school principals, and collaborated with Austrian experts from the Twinning Project who were engaged in supporting the MES in developing educational security policies. of quality. The program was piloted with the schools that were leading the way in launching the new competency-based curriculum and with a group of education inspectors. After the pilot, the program was extended to 12 municipalities, where with the help of Quality Assurance Coordinators in MED, trainings were organized in each municipality with a group of self-assessment teams. The training program is based on applicable education policies related to school performance appraisal.

The training program was re-accredited on 17.03.2021, for a period of two years, respectively until 17.03.2023.
